Find Life
The most important decision of your life. Your future will change or has changed if you made the decision... To Follow Jesus!
Let Me Explain:
Giving your life to Jesus Christ is not difficult. It is important that you understand the simple truth that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for the sins of everyone...including you and me. Not only did He die a horrible death on the cross, but He proved He has the power to forgive our sins and change our lives by defeating humanity's most feared enemy... death. Jesus Christ was resurrected; he rose from the grave and still lives today. He did this for you and me.
What The Bible Tells Us:
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness and with the mouth confession is made to salvation...whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." (Romans 10:9-11)
One Simple Prayer to God Can Change Your Future, Your Destiny, Your Life... "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
Here Is a Sample Of The Prayer I'm Talking About, You Can Make It Yours:
"Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of god and that You died on the cross for my sins. I am a sinner and need You to forgive all of my sins. Lord, You gave Your all for me, now I will hold nothing back from You. I give You my whole life. Please make me a new person. I will live for You every day of my life. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer. In Jesus name, Amen."
Here Is a Promise From God, Remember it!
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Here Are Some Practical Suggestions That Will Help You Grow In Your New Life With Jesus:
Pray every day. Prayer is talking to God as you would your best friend, because He is your best friend. Talk to Him honestly from your heart. There is no situation too small for what He has done in your life. "The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16)
Read your Bible daily
How often do you eat food? The Bible, god's Word, will feed your new life. It is God's road map to life. Your relationship with Jesus Christ cannot be based on feelings and emotions. God's Word provides the solid facts and truths we should base our lives upon. The Bible contains truth that will help us in every area of our lives. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete." (2Timothy 3:16-17)
Start by reading the book of John in the New Testament.
Make Christians your friends. Who you associate or hang out with will influence you. Spend time with other Christians and develop a friendship with them. You will encourage and strengthen each other as you live for Jesus Christ. Find a good church. What is a good church? One that believes in the Bible and preaches Jesus Christ. Look for a church that loves people and regularly reaches out to the community. You were not only created to believe in Him but to belong to His family called the "church." Stay hungry for God. Ask God to make you more like Him. Let God give you all that He has for you. Ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit.
Turn away from your old life.
Jesus said, "Repent, or you will perish." (Luke 13:3). Jesus wants to lovingly change you. Work with Him. He will help you break habits and turn away from living in an ungodly way. You have to do more than just feel sorry for your sins. You must be ready and willing to take the appropriate action to change the situation, if necessary tell somebody. Christianity was never meant to be kept to yourself. Tell somebody as quickly as possible what has just happened in your life. Tell what Jesus has done for you. Make this an ongoing practice in your life. It will help others and you. Get Active. Begin to put your faith into action by getting involved serving others. Jersey Life Church is filled with opportunities for you to become active in serving others using your willingness, skills and gifts.
Let me give you one last verse that will encourage you:
"...being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Phil. 1:6)
I pray God's Best For You!
Your Friend,
Scott Hinkle
